Established singer and vocal coach Penny Shipley has opened an exclusive series of singing workshops in your area, for all levels from beginner to pro.

Professional-level coaching in a relaxed atmosphere
1. Sing your heart out
After introductions and warmup, perform a song from your repertoire and get individual feedback from Penny. Then sing it again, and see the difference. Get insight into your voice and vocal style, plus tips, tricks and hacks to improve your technique.
3. Q&A
A chance to pick Penny’s brains on anything you’ve ever wondered about singing or working in the performing arts. You can also chat to the other participants and learn from their various skills and experiences.
2. Get audition-ready
In the second half of the workshop, you’ll perform a new song prepared in advance. Experience learning a new piece, and get insightful help to really nail your next audition. Or just take a relaxed approach, embracing the chance to sing something new!
4. Feedback!
After the workshop you’ll receive a Personalised Vocal Report.

The small print
A full breakdown of the day, along with audition music, will be emailed out 7-14 days before the event. Every part of the workshop is optional, so if you prefer you can skip any one of the singing parts and simply listen.
A minimum of 8 participants is required for a class to go ahead. If not enough tickets are sold for your workshop you will be refunded one week before the scheduled class. Tickets are otherwise non-refundable, but can be transferred to a later workshop.
About Penny
Penny Shipley is an established vocal coach. She acts as musical director and vocal coach for cruise and theatre production companies, and owns two award-winning singing companies based in London. She started her career as a freelance singer, before moving on to freelance composing, founding her two companies, and transitioning into coaching. With a knack for uncovering hidden talent and a genuine love for music, she has become the go-to guru for singers of all stripes.
Having auditioned and mentored over 500 singers, Penny knows that every voice has its own unique story. Her workshops are aimed at everyone – from people who have never sung before, to amateur actors and choirs, to seasoned performers looking to refine their skills. Her unique approach offers level-appropriate guidance, technical singing advice, and a path to unlocking your voice’s true potential.

How much does it cost?
A place on each workshop is £60, payable online in advance.
What can I sing?
Anything! Penny’s wide range of experience means that she can hear where your voice sits best no matter what the song is.
How far in advance do I need to book?
Booking closes 1 week before a workshop. Places are limited, so early booking is advised.
What should I wear?
Something that’s comfortable, and makes you feel good. We’ll be doing some gentle physical warm-ups so it’s best to wear something you can move in.
